A Wedding in Paradise...

Words can't explain how beautiful this wedding was. Nicole is 36 and has wanted to get married since she was a little girl. Three years ago Nicole took a leap of faith and moved to Florida with her boyfriend of 4 years. They slowly grew apart and Nicole said to me that she would never meet anyone who wanted the same things in life as she did. She told me that everyone she meets has children...and that was something she was not sure about. Low and behold God had a different plan for Nicole. She met a wonderful man by the name of Mark who has a wonderful three year old daughter by the name of Tea'. Sometime I think Nicole is more in love with Tea' than Mark...just kidding. She is truly happy and love this little girl like her own. I am so happy foe Nicole, Mark and Tea'. After being in Naples and taking in all of the beauty it has to offer, I have decided that there is more to life than Flushing, Michigan. As much as I love it here and I have embraced it as my home...I want more. I want to finish school, I want to be a nurse, I want to live life to the fullest. I want to take a leap of faith! I want to do crazy things like wear purple shoes on my wedding day like Nicole. I don;t want to be afraid of what is out there. I want to see the world and experience things that I would never ever do. So...with that said, I am not longer SWF...I am Living Everyday Like It was My Last!

Happy Birthday Carson!

12 years ago today and three hours of labor...Carson has been through so much in her 12 years of life. Open heart surgery, seizures and a father who has not been involved. Despite all of that she is a confident, happy, well adjusted child. Happy Birthday Carson! I must add that I had to pick her up from school today because she has the stomach flu.

The next couple of days are exciting and sad for me. I love Christmas, I love the days before Christmas, but I struggle the day after Christmas. Many years I fhave felt let down. This year I am going to try really hard to make the days after really special. On December 30th. my friends and I will be having a little reunion. When Katie, Carin, Heather, Niki, Beth and I all lived in Michigan, we would get together about once a month for wine, snacks, sometimes karoke, Katie's broom trick, Beth's hanger trick, try on crazy outfits, I would walk on my hands for the girls, we would make Heather sing for us, but most of all... a lot of laughs! Niki moved to Naples, Florida, Heather to Carmel, Indiana, Katie to Seattle, Washington, Carin to East Lansing, Michigan, and Beth and I are still standing in Flushign, Michigan. I am so excited to for us all to be together again! These are my pictures from the days leading up to christmas and I will post my pictures from the fun days that I am going to have after Christmas.
